Where To Find All The Collectibles In The Ocean Crossing Mission In Armored Core VI

May 28, 2023

Armored Core 6's Ocean Crossing will try to kill you with lasers, we'll show you how to avoid 'em. We'll also lead you to all the hidden collectibles.

The Ocean Crossing mission is the final mission of Armored Core 6's second chapter. Once you know what you are doing, it isn't particularly lengthy, however, what it lacks in length it makes up for in lasers raining down from the sky. You can view this mission as a puzzle of sorts. Naturally, you can try to barrel through, but we really can't emphasize "death lasers" enough here.

But if you aren't looking to discover the perfect route, and you want to clear this stage—while finding all the goodies—quickly and get back to the mech battlin', we've got you covered. This guide will walk you through the optimal route and have you back to bashin' in no time.

Once you get topside, you are going to run straight into the lasers that are raining down death from the sky. These do massive damage and shouldn't be trifled with. You can boost away from them, but it will take deliberate timing and a speedy boost. In a pinch, you can use your Assault Boost as an emergency panic button to get away from a laser that is locked onto you, but the much more reliable method is to avoid the lasers altogether. This is absolutely possible, as this stage just so happens to have a route that will help you get from the beginning all the way to the end without ever needing to take a laser to the face.

Take a right out of the lift door. Look for a sizable hole in the ground where you can drop into. This hole will take you to the underground section of the platform filled the engines and giant gears. The grate above will cover you, so the lasers won't be able to hit your AC. This under-the-floor area is basically two rooms connected to each other corner to corner. The second room is where the exit is. There aren't many enemies down here, but there are a few Drones in that second room. These guys will generate a number of smaller explosives that will orbit around them, and then they'll charge into you. Obviously, you'll want to stop them from doing this, so blow 'em up before they get to you.

Get a feel for dealing with these drones here while you have solid ground under your feet, that won't always be the case in this stage.

Once you find the exit, take a left (stick close to the building and there will be enough junk above you to hide you from the lasers). You'll see a bridge, but you're going to want to ignore it; just stick to that wall on your left, staying under the roof as you work your way around. Eventually, you will have to hook around a small wall and drop down to a bridge with a broken mech. This is where you will obtain the "Image Data: STV Sketch (2)".

Now, head back the way you came. Once you are at the gear room exit, take a right this time. First, you will fight some drones. Then, you'll find a tunnel with a few more drones inside. Once you take care of them, head down the tunnel. At the end of it, you'll find a platform and another downed AC with the "Head Comms Record: Doser Chatter" data on it. Having acquired that, you will now have uncovered all the Data Logs as well as having claimed all the Battle Logs (killing those drones on your way to the second Data Log did that). Fancy that. Now we just need to get to the end of the stage.

Head back to the gear room exit one last time. Once you're here, we are going to follow that bridge that leads from it all the way to the Mission Marker. However, since those pesky lasers are still raining death down from the skies, we aren't traveling on the bridge, we are going to travel under it. Thankfully, there are a number of struts under the bridge that we can use as little platforms. Perch yourself on one of them and then take out all the Drones in this area, as you will otherwise run the risk of running into one and suffering a very, very long fall.

If you have an energy-efficient AC, you can Assault Boost the entire way under than bridge, but that is a big if. If you want to know how to make a more energy-efficient AC, you can use this guide to help you.

At the end of the bridge, there will be one final, unprotected stretch. You will want to use your Assault Boost to clear it (while aiming for the sheltered platform on the opposite end of you). From here all you need to do is climb up and clear out some MTs in the final area. We won't have rid ourselves of those lasers yet, so feel make use of the one part of this area that has a canopy. Once you clear out the MTs, dash to the Mission Marker and you will officially be out of range for the lasers.

Now all you need to do is head for the end of the stage and face off against the Sea Spider boss. How tough could it be, right? Well, it is a boss, so it is pretty tough, silly. But don't worry, as we have a handy-dandy guide in the works to help you fend it off.
